So after a long and arduous summer break, mixed in with the whirlwind demon that is the coronavirus, I have finally returned to Birmingham City University

Most of my summer was spent working away at Akaal Channel. The coronavirus and recent events currently going on around the world kept me busy. I also had to study amazingly hard during the coronavirus pandemic about Sikh history after being invited to speak at a seminar that contained some of the worlds most prominent scholars in the Sikh religion,

The first week back felt a little strange. I guess its probably due to the amount of online work that is currently being conducted. Attending classes online has been a strange experience, but hopefully, I’ll get used to it again. Having done a foundation year last year, I feel a lot more prepared for the year ahead. 

I’m excited to start this year and hone my skills as a journalist. Even with the continued work experience I get at the channel, this is an excellent opportunity to grow as a journalist and make my writing and broadcast delivery a lot stronger.
